Merikk has reluctantly accepted leadership of the Liberation, despite only recently joining the Underground. Vincent Craft is a hardened soldier in the war against the Sheida. He prides himself on his ability to protect others. As a result, the death of Isaiah continues to haunt him. Vincent has grown bitter toward Merikk, and is determined to keep the liberation moving in the direction he thinks Isaiah would want it to go.

David is among the youngest to find refuge with the Liberation. The Only has made him into a vessel for cosmic power, using him on occasion to speak, or carry out judgment. But since the conflict with Atlantis, David has not been used in this way. Because of his age, he is often exluded from Liberation activities or missions. He feels adrift and without purpose.

Although the Dark One has incredibly destructive physical power, his greatest weapon is his ability to deceive.
